Have you received a Couldn’t load user data message when trying to access Redbooth? Don’t worry, it is a common problem with a very easy solution.
Application caches are used by both native and third-party applications to store temporary information and speed up load times. Sometimes a problem with a piece of cached information or a software bug can cause slowness, or even make the application crash. Clearing out the Redbooth application cache will often resolve the issue. To do so, please follow these steps:
- Log out of Redbooth.
- Open Finder.
- In the menu bar, click Go > Go To Folder…
- Type “~/Library/Application Support/Redbooth” into the dialog box that appears and click Go. Make sure that you include the ~ sign at the beginning of the path as it indicates the user folder. Using the path without this sign will take you to the general system folder that doesn’t include the Redbooth folder.
- Find the folder named Cache, and move it to trash.
- Launch Redbooth and you will be prompted for your email and password.
- Log in and you should be good to go!
