Public links allow admins to grant view-only access to a single task, without requiring users to join their Redbooth organization or workspace.
Sharing a task via public link
- Open the task card for the task you want to share.
- Click the globe icon near the top right corner and hit the Create link button. This will generate a unique public link for this task.
- Copy the generated link and send it to the person you want to share the task with. You can share it via email, messaging apps, or any other way you prefer.
What the recipient sees:
Anyone with the link will be able to access a read-only version of the task which includes the following information:
- Task description
- Subtasks (if any)
- Due date (if set)
- Assigned person (if assigned)
- Comments
Revoking public link
- Open the task card for the public task you want to revoke.
- Click the globe icon near the top right corner and hit the Stop sharing button.
- This will deactivate the public link and prevent anyone from accessing the task using that link. Anyone who tries to access the task with the old link will see an error message.
