Redbooth’s Set Time Estimate feature allows you to plan how much time you expect a task to take, and then track actual time spent as you complete it. This helps you and your team better manage workloads and measure progress.
Setting a Time Estimate
Open a task.
Hover over the Due Date section.
Click Set Time Estimate.
Enter the expected time to complete the task in hh:mm format (i.e.,
06:30for six and a half hours).Hit Save.
Your time estimate will now appear next to the task’s due date.
Tracking Time Spent
Once you’ve worked on or completed a task, you can track the actual time spent:
Open the task and go to the Comments section.
Add a comment (i.e., “Selected images”).
Click the Time Spent button.
Enter the time in hh:mm format.
Hit the Comment button.
The tracked time will be logged against the total estimate and shown with a completion status bar next to the tasks due date.
