The automatic subtask due date shifting feature is a useful tool for staying on top of constantly changing timelines. When the due date of a task is changed, the due dates of any subtasks that have a due date assigned will be shifted by the same number of days. For instance, if a task's due date is moved forward by two days, any subtasks with due dates will also be moved forward by two days.
Auto-Updating Subtasks
1. Create a task and set a due date.
2. Add a subtask and set a due date.
3. Choose a new due date for the task.
4. You will see a prompt asking if you wish to update the subtask's due date as well.
It's important to note that this feature only applies to subtasks that have a due date assigned. If a subtask doesn't have a due date assigned, it won't be affected by changes to the parent task's due date. Additionally, if a subtask has a due date that falls before the new due date of the parent task, its due date won't be shifted.
